The concept of hustle came to me during a trip to costa rica. Being in the jungle and having a slower speed of life made me realize how much of our energy and stress in the western world is driven by the pursuit of financial gain. The figure is wearing a necklace influenced by the secret societies, a symbol of status. Which in effect is chocking the figure while he struggles to hold peace and money in balance.
I also used this as metaphor for our planet, we must now hustle to save both our rainforest and resources.
